Been using fl-910-s filters for a while but wondering if I should change it up for a filter with less failures. I change at 5k but overkill is fine with me. Thanks.

How recent? That's nuts. After several hundred Ks using the 910 I changed to the Fram Ultra 3614. Reason: Started finding pieces of black glue in my oil change pan.
I was too, but check out some of the FL-910s cut and posts here recently. Not good.My sister recently got a 2.3 bronco. I’m generally an OEM filler person but this has me thinking of using a Premium Guard instead
Well i'm no expert. But here are two I cut apart. December 24 and this month. Five thousand miles each. 24 ford maverick turbo .prods 5/30 . I've asked the experts if this is a new manufacturer. The ones I saw posted months ago.Had raised dimples on the end cap. These are On both sides smooth. They look perfect.I was too, but check out some of the FL-910s cut and posts here recently. Motorcraft is another commonly counterfeited product line, there are some ifs about the failures.
About a year ago I noticed a couple of pieces of black glue in my oil change pan. Several months later with another oil change I saw more, so that's when I switched to a different filter. How recent? That's nuts.
Could possibly see that happening after finding a little excessive black glue on my last FL910S on the bottom of the metal end cap and lower region of the cellulose media.About a year ago I noticed a couple of pieces of black glue in my oil change pan.
