the car is way too old, i just dont know what oil require back then is different from now. wat is best for this oil car, engine is 305 carb 80k miles. Im thinking penzoils 10w/30 with ac delco filter.

Yep, the current GF-4 SM rated dino is very 'high tech' compared to the dino oils of 1985, no need for any synthetic in that engine....especially if it only has 80K miles.

Have the same engine in an '86 Cad, YB Pennz (10w30) or their HM took me to 165k and still going.
How 'bout them 'carburetors?

You will be able to find SF rated 10w40 at Autozone. This is close to the original spec for this vehicle. Use it with pride.

A good high mileage oil would probably be good as the seals are pretty old in there.

Valvoline Maxlife or Pennzoil HM or Mobil Clean HM would be good bets.

Oil tech has gotten much better. The oils of today are much better at protecting your car then the old oils.

Best filters would be Purolator Pure One, Mobil 1, K & N, Wix, Napa Gold or Carquest Blue. They have better filtration and can probably find decent price on them.
