Best DECAF whole bean coffee?

That’s probably pushing the envelope. Open bag and so near the date usually stale and that is my standing complaint about Costco (not knowing where you got them just saying )

Well anyway just chuck them I suppose but what a waste - sucks

I agree with you on too much caffeine hence this thread. Cut in half and delay from drinking coffee first thing in the morning

I seriously wonder if it’s a bum bag. I remember buying a small pre-ground bag from Walmart to try and it tasted just fine.

OK, I made the grind coarser today -- bumped it from 18 to 22. Notable improvement in taste.

It’s just old and oxidized my guess some people won’t touch beans that are a couple weeks older than the roast date! Expiring date is a bit silly

I try to find fresh local roasted beans which isn’t hard but not cheap. Of course Major Dickason isn’t local and retail store (Costco) is a gamble

Beyond that it may be personal taste
