Best (and easy to obtain) Conventional ATF

I am fully planning to order some Scheaffers ATF Mercon for my Ford. I'm finishing up an Auto RX cycle in another couple of hundred miles.

Today I was at Costco & saw the conventional Mobil ATF really cheap --- I think it was $15US a case. Also, I have seen many posts talking about Pennzoil engine oil being very good. So, among the 'very easy to obtains' (not Amsol, Schaeffers, & RL) what would you recommend & why?

I may still go with the Scheaffers, but I'm torn right this second.

I would go ahead and order the Schaeffer's 204S but here is just one recommendation.

Use the conventional Mobil ATF as a flush and then install the 204S.

What's so difficult to obtain about Amsoil?

OK - Poor choice of words? What I mean is conventional mass-market ATF fluids that you can purchase in most local stores like Advance, Pep, AZ, or WalMart. I realize there's convenience in the "place an order & get it via UPS", but that's not really what I'm trying to figure out here.

Mobil 1 ATF would be ok, it's full synthetic and meets Mercon specs.

I was able to obtain, from our state's Chevron distributor, Chevron ATF for my minivan, recently. This ATF is formulated, like Penzoil's (available at Wal-Mart) to reduce "shudder." It smells awful.

My van had a slight shudder at 62 mph, and it went away using this product, much to my amazement. Additionally, the van "seems" to be a little quieter, but that's probably my imagination.

This is conventional (but using Chevron's iso-syn) ATF, and cost about $17 per case of 12 quarts...
