I decided to try the Berryman B-12 gas system cleaner as a change of pace from Techron and Gum Out gas system cleaners . While no PEA in the Berryman B-12 it may clean up differently or additionally than PEA gas system cleaners . Anyone else alternate gas system cleaners with Berryman B-12 ?

That's been pretty much all I've used on my Craftsman & John Deere. I've had the Craftsman since 2014 & no Carb problems yet! I do use Stabilizer as well though.

I use it in multiple vehicles every 3rd tank of fuel as directed for continual use. Had my exhaust manifold off a few months ago, manifold and catalytic converter were free of carbon deposits. Changing spark plugs this week, will check combustion chamber with camera to see any improvements or not there.

You use Top Tier fuel?

Just curious cause I'm hesitant to give full credit to a fuel system cleaner

I’ve been using it for years. High school auto shop teacher recommended it and it works. I probably run it once a year or so. I also use gumout high mileage with regane once in a while. Not same tank of fuel.
Same for me, I run it once a year in my high miles 1990 era Mazda. Works great in older vehicles imo, really cleans everything up. You can definitely tell after you use it the first time. But.. not sure I'd run it in newer vehicles since it seems so strong. Seems like a newer vehcile somply won't have to degree of build up that needs cleaning. This I don't use it in my wife's 2015 CUV, but probably will eventually. In any case I think it works much better than Techron, which I've also tried.

Our newest vehicle is a 2014 Prius V so I’m not sure anything newer than that would have much to clean up like you said but I’d try it. I just ordered redline fuel system cleaner for a few of our vehicles to see if it’s going to do anything. Sounds like it’s got a lot of PEA and should remove carbon buildup.

I have used Berrymans for at least 60 years in various vehicles. When I was younger and spilled some B 12 into my oil drain pan I couldn't believe how it clean to metal where it was spilled. I have used it anytime I suspected varnish or gum. I once bout a Corvair from Amco transmissionmission shop because they quoted the guy a price to fix it and he left the car with them. It would not shift out of first gear. I gotit home and added a can of B12 to the transmissionmission and drove it around the block and it shifted perfectly. I suspected a stuck govenor valve. When I got it home I change the transmission fluid and never had another problem with that transmissionmission. I am definitely a believer in that product.
