...from an early Volvo P1800. This picture is from an article in Hemmings on the Volvo.

Readable, stylish, beautifully backlit, what more could you ask for? Now back to the perfectly functional but completely sterile iPad like panel on my DD.....

That prelude dash was beautiful, yet quirky with the mixed analog/luminescent. That whole car was on my want list… and now that I could afford an extra car, they are all too far gone.

the gen 4 Chrysler minivan dash, at night, always struck me, especially if you sat back and saw the roof controls too. Light levels and colors were perfectly balanced. They did a great job in my 2008 grand Cherokee too. In the day, it did not have the same appeal.

I liked the Volvo S60 gen1 dashes a lot. very simple, functional, and blended well with the spread of the headlamp beam.

i always enjoy a well-sorted wood dash with clean gauges, such as this tr6.

i gotta admit, the Lexus analog layout has always been attractive with the dark-set gauges, though I don’t find the functionality present with additional data like voltage, oil pressure, etc..
