Bearings that have no ID

BR930978_1.jpg

This is an SKF BR930978 bearing from Rock Auto. A search of the part number seems to be the same bearing with no ID markings. If a bearing has no ID markings is is assumed some cheap no name bearing?

How can a bearing have no Inside Diameter? Or at least that's what I was asking myself when I saw the title of this thread, LOL.

They may have the markings on the inside side of the bearing. SKF is generally considered to be a decent bearing brand. Beware "SKP" which is a low price Chinese export brand.

Identification markings. I've never know a bearing of have inside diameter markings, but I guess there are some. While SKF is an original equipment manufacture and good quality from pictures I've found, of just the bearing itself, it was marked Koyo, NSK, and FAG. These days of reboxing who knows what may arrive at the door. Anyway, to the original question are no identification markings indicate junk?

A part number can not be copyrighted or trademarked. Famously, Intel sold "486" chips that AMD also sold. So they called the next one "Pentium(tm)."

Googling a part number and buying the cheapest option will get you a knockoff part.

SKF is a respective brand for wheel bearings, the stock image may not even be what you receive and as such should be reference.
