bearing grease

I am repacking my bearings this weekend, I bought a container of Mobil 1 bearing grease thats open. will this grease still be good and is this a good bearing grease for an 03 frontier four wheel drive?

It's an excellent grease for wheel bearings. One of the most important things is to make sure the grease does not get contaminated. Don't scoop a dollop of grease from the container with dirty hands.

No problem with the container as long as it was sealed. I have used M1 grease for many years in car and truck bearings and trailer bearings with never a failure.

yeah it has a plastic lid on it, wasn't contaminated.

It's supposed to be great, but I find it dries out i use. Is this the red stuff?

yes, it is the red stuff.

The oil does seem to separate from the thickener for some reason, I used it in the front hubs on my Toyota and there is oil leakage/weeping from the outer cap. Not a huge deal. The bearings run very smooth with it.
