Baxter Performance Cartridge to Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter

It’s a solution looking for a problem.
Is it, though? You can hear that infamous ticking with every start until the oil gets up there. I've already had to replace all the rocker bearings on one 3.6L (not saying that was the issue, because it wasn't), but who's to say those dry starts won't lead to issues down the road? I like to keep vehicles 10-15 years--that's a lot of miles.

who says it wont break the fragile housing hanging out there.

Even if its a metal dorman housing the weight is out there.

None of my 3 current 3.6's tick after sitting. None of my other 3.6's ticked either. 5W30 syn with Mopar or NAPA Gold oil filters.

Now that I'm doing rocker bearings and camshafts for a THIRD time across two POS 3.6L engines, I've added it to my 2016 Wrangler. Why Chrysler keeps pushing out that 3.6L with known oil cooler and rocker bearing issues is beyond me.

I use the same oil and I have/had a slight tick on start, but no lifter tick whatsoever while driving. Yes, my 2016 Jeep is in the shop at 82K miles having the camshafts replaced (again).

i would run with a Dorman aluminum oil cooler, this adapter and a Premium guard oil filter. those ADBV’s seal tight and the filters are still full when i go to cut them.

I'm running a Dorman. It failed, but it was under warranty. I've read you need the Dorman cooler with the Mopar gaskets.

I've never seen an OHC engine that has replaceable journal bearing inserts for the cam bearings. Even motorcycles in the 70s just had the cams running on "bearings" cut into the aluminum head.Same tech on modern engines from what Ive seen.

Anyone have an idea what a good equivalent filter to either of these would be? I don't need an extended life (taller) filter. Due to clearance issues, I need a shorter one.

BAXTER WEBSITE: WIX 57502, Mobil1 M1-212 or equivalent

I'm thinking one of these?

- MOPAR 4892339AA
- MOBIL M1-113
- WIX 57060
- Service Pro M2222 (what's on there)
- K&N SO-1017

I'm also planning on ignoring the computer OCI and start changing my oil every 4-5K and get back to sending it off to Blackstone. I need this engine to last!

Any one of those short sizes will work.

I am running a Baxter with my 2025 Gladiator but running the taller size since I have the room but would have no problem running a shorty if need be.
