battery hold down options for 24f battery in 2015 rav 4 xle

You can drill new holes at your discretion if the j-hooks of a universal hold down don't work for you. You can also use 1/4-20 allthread to make your own J-hooks if for whatever reason the universal part isn't universal enough.

I was going to mention that - Toyota has a “recall” for the gen 4 RAV4 about batteries. They warn a group 35 battery is the one to stick with. A 24F isn’t much taller than a 35. But caveat emptor.
yeah darn but i love the 24f way more cca and rc, gonna do like 2 seperate overkill aftermarket hold downs so the batt doesnt even move at all ahahaha

The battery in my off road plow truck is held down by a $2 nylon ratchet strap. If one gets the ratchet in just the right spot they can get a satisfactory, if very ugly, result.
How ironic, so is mine. In the summer it swaps into the lawn mower, in winter onto the plow.

Duct tape and ratchet straps. Remember, if the ladies don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

been checking the batt for past few days seems like it doesnt need much to hold it down, will def do a proper hold down setup but the oem rav 4 hold down works decent with a large battery. i understand small battery would be loose and can slide out but doesnt seem like it would move with a large battery
