Will the Astros ever be good. I wait for them every year, and yet they disappoint me again and again like the Marlins. Just want to see what everybody thinks.

The Pirates are great this year, McCutchen is a solid hitter and is worth his weight in gold.

I'm a longtime Rangers fan.

I know what it's like to have your favorite team at the bottom of the A.L. West.

At least Minute Maid Park is air-conditioned. Rangers Ballpark is not. It's not as bad as sitting in the sun on aluminum bleachers in the old stadium (Arlington Stadium...recorded a 134° game temperature) but you still get cooked pretty good. I think the Marlins are the only team to have a home field that is nearly as hot.

Oooooooakland!

Let's go A's! Oakland all day every day!

At least with the Astros, nobody expected much this year with them changing to the American league.

As a Dodger fan, a lot was expected with all the money they spent and all they are getting is the basement!

For me personally, that would be awesome.

But it's baseball. It can be kind of a slow game if you are not an enthusiast.

I was led to believe that Australia has a growing Japanese population. Surprised they didn't pick Yankees vs Rangers (Ichiro Suzuki/ Yu Darvish)

When I was a kid I enjoyed going to the Astrodome to watch J.R.Richard, Ken Forsh, Joe Niekro, Nolan Ryan and Dave Smith.

I moved to the desert of AZ and followed the Cubs (spring training)until the D-Backs came to be.

Baseball (along with curling, of course) desperately needs a shot clock.

Perhaps the mound and the batter's box could be fitted with electric shock devices to punish time wasting.

Oddly enough, I much more enjoy reading about baseball history than watching a slow game!

seems to me that baseball players wait to get a huge $$$ deal, then stink up the rest of their career. Cue Pujols, A-Rod, Verlander, Andruw Jones, etc.

It's called the aging curve. By the time a player reaches free agency, they're often at or just past the peak production years of their late twenties. Sign somebody to a contract that ends after they're 35 or older and your likely to get bad production, at least toward the end.

right, but when it's immediately, it makes the player and the organization look bad...
