Bar Keeper's Friend on Windshield

I found nothing about using Bar Keeper's Friend on a windshield. I did see something about how it's recommended for cleaning glass cooktops.

Being a BITOGer, said product was tried, as a slurry on a wet terrycloth applicator pad onto a wet windshield. And said product left an exceedingly clean windshield. Not even a trace of dirt left! And it made the little lines on an old windshield a touch less pronounced I believe.

Interestingly enough, after rinsing, the water beaded right up and off the windshield. Further testing may be done on another window to see how long this effect lasts.

Will update if anything untoward happens.

I'm not sure how abrasive it is, and the small amount of oxalic acid shouldn't hurt anything if well rinsed.

It's standard practice for getting windshields clean and free of grease/oils/bug juice/film without scratching. As Pablo suggested rinsing extremely well is in order especially the surrounding painted areas.

The area was rinsed quite well. The soaked ground underneath the body drains attested to that fact.

I hadn't heard anything about it either way, on here or on the Internet in general. So it was given a shot.

Re-discovering the wheel, maybe. But good to have documented yet again another way to clean glass!
