Nope. Not kidding.

They even smell like bacon when you cook them.

I know some folks are positively crazy for bacon, I'm not one of them, though I sure enjoy it. Seems that these are made with bacon bits somehow, so its not an artificial flavor. I like hot dog flavor, and laying in bed, the mixing of the two doesnt strike me as appetizing, but I'd try anything once.

I like bacon but why do I want a bacon flavored hot dog? If thats what you want why not just put a strip of bacon in your normal non flavored hot dog.

Doctors in Indiana spent their own money on a billboard near the speedway: "Eating a hot dog is like smoking a cigarette. Its that bad".

I have not had one since I read that.

Nothing like a Kosher dog wrapped in bacon. Irony for the win!

Interesting list of ingredients.

Quote:
MECHANICALLY SEPARATED TURKEY AND MECHANICALLY SEPARATED CHICKEN, PORK, WATER, BACON PIECES (CURED WITH WATER, SALT, SUGAR, SODIUM PHOSPHATES, SODIUM ASCORBATE, SODIUM NITRITE, SMOKE FLAVOR), CORN SYRUP, CONTAINS LESS THAN 2% OF SALT, FLAVOR, SMOKE FLAVOR, SODIUM PHOSPHATES, SODIUM DIACETATE, SODIUM BENZOATE, AUTOLYZED YEAST EXTRACT, SODIUM ASCORBATE, SODIUM NITRITE.

And people wonder why the US is a nation of obese diabetics.

I think I'll pass.

Everything in moderation.

Heck, there are plenty of studies that show people who take multi-vitamins have higher mortality rates, and that people with cancer who take vitamins don't live as long.

Yes but with other things, they appear to be beneficial but turn out bad for you. In this case you know a hot dog is not good for you based upon the fact that is made from unknown/unwanted parts of animals.

Is Indiana anti-hot dog or what? Seems a little extreme... and stupid.

We know what hot dogs are made of. We eat them because we like them and they taste good. Not because of what they're made of. Whats wrong with eating snouts, ****, and hooves? It is just making the most of the animal parts that people like yourself are disgusted by. Also, it is not those 'unknown/unwanted parts' that make it unhealthy.

Hot dogs, at least those made here in the US are not made from byproducts.

They are not made from those items. At least not the ones here, I can't speak for Chinese hot dogs...
