Backing into parking spaces

Many of the previous posters advocated backing into a parking space at work or in a public parking lot for safety reasons.

Just curious, how many of you advocating backing into a space also implement that practice at home (i.e., either backing into the garage or up the driveway)?
Not much cross traffic, no kids in my drive way; plus it's T-shaped. Nose in, back up across the T, then drive straight down a steep hill for 125ft to the main road.

I was at an oral surgeon yesterday; he’s in one of the buildings in the screenshot.
These are houses converted into businesses. One narrow lane to get into and out of the back parking lot. Lots of evidence people clip the building trying to get back out. Almost every car reversed into their space.

Over the last number of monthsI've observed many people backing their vehicles into parking spaces where people have been parking head first forever. Often they block traffic while performing the parking maneuver.

Anyone know the reason folks are backing into parking spaces in greater and greater numbers?
You block traffic going in or out. I back in at work with commuter mostly because my car is really old and easier to jump :)

I have learned from kids sports to back as it’s so much safer to leave that way.

Yes when driving for work, they advise us to do this, as it is a bit safer.
My employer will fire me if I'm driving a company vehicle and don't back into a parking space or park in a pull-through spot. In training they tell is you are 100x more likely to have an accident backing out of a spot vs. pulling out of a spot. I'm trained to drive company vehicles, but in 25 years I've never driven one.

Every mining client I have has this policy. It's a standard because it's safer.

I wish the guy in a large side boxed work truck with protruding vise had backed in. As he backed up in a Napa parking lot his vise busted through the rear hatch window on our 1996 Volvo 850 back in the day. Damaged the hatch too. They paid, but what a mess. I think I posted about it. 2010 or so???
