Baby back vs beef ribs.

1) Ribs are great things but they're a "blind item". They're covered with candy and scorched so you can't tell what you're biting into.
Nothing worse than expecting a bite of meat and getting a mouthful of cloying, gelatinous, candy-coated fat....disgusting.
"Hey man, let's make / market it with Jack Daniels"...please.....that's Yuk City, across the river from Flavortown.
Ergo, I never became a fan.

2) A friend got "Country Ribs" (a marketing name for pork ribs, I guess) from Costco and they were superior. I'd recommend those.

3) In the mid-'80's the restaurant industry applied the term "Baby Back Ribs" to any rib on the menu. I remember seeing that all over. That was highly obnoxious.

Ever seen "soft shelled crabs" with shells served in restaurants? I have.

I’ve never had beef ribs I’ve only had baby back and full size pork ribs. They are good. Don’t know if I would like the beef ribs or not.
