Good song, and a decent video but really marred by terrible oil product placement. This might be worse than SALT.

the song is awful, the 'plot' (if you can call it that) is ridiculous, and you're worried about the 1/2 second of a royal purple demo?

I actually don't like most Train songs but that one did catch my attention on Pandora last week. The RP placement feels out of place...at least with other videos they show someone using a Nokia phone in a legit situation.

It's still not as bad as Dre's new song "I need a doctor" there's more product placement for advertising than any other video I have ever seen...

They should have at least showed him topping off a car with it or something, 3 cases of RP and some random quarts and a line of classic cars seems out of place lol...

[sarcasm]
yeah, totally out of place, hard to believe an oil company might have a presence @ a car show/swap meet, etc.
[/sarcasm]

also,
if you notice, there seems to be an overall purple theme to the vid, and they just used a widely available motor oil to sew it into the auto scenes.
(sky behind the band, all the grapes & wine were "red"(purple), etc. )
(you'd think they could find a purple car though....)
my 2cents anywho....

I agree the RP placement seems out of place as is the train of classic muscle cars. Just the one Firebird convertible would have been better.

I suffered through most of the song so others wouldn't have to. Skip to 2:00 if you'd like to see what the OP is talking about...
