I'm sure many already know but best to plain avoid buying/using/re-using Supermax (owned by Horizon Tire Inc.) tires as if your life depended on it.
There aren't that many brands I would immediately slap the 'complete garbage' tag on but this company made the list 'Super easily'.
Endless accounts of tire failure, mainly separation which is most often a manufacturing issue.
This especially applies to their radial line like the TM-1.
I bring this up as a neighbor of mine is lucky enough to still be alive after a separation issue. His research unearthed a mega ton of issues reported from shops. What we should be asking is how this company be allowed to sell tires at this point.
I'm not harping on budget tires btw as there are lot's of bang-4-buck brands that do not fall within the garbage category. No. Horizon however managed to separate themselves from that pack.
