Just went to Autozone for some new wipers and I saw 5 quarts of Valvoline Synpower and Fram toughgard filter for 17.99. I know its a Fram,but its the better one, the tough gaurd. Even if I dont use the filter its still a pretty good deal on 5 quarts of synthetic.

tough guard should be decent filters, comparable to pure one.
You could always exchange the Fram at Walmart for credit and buy more oil.
I'm using a Fram ToughGuard with my GC for an extend drain and I can sleep at night.
That's a good deal; I've been wanting to try that Synpower.
must be only certain places participating because i went today and saw it.
Is synpower a gpIII oil?

I just went and purchased 2 of these, my Tough Guard (2003 Honda Civic Si) filter application is TINY compared to the OEM, M1, and Purolator filters I used in the past. Oh well, I will keep these filters for a quick pinch.
