When I was a kid trying cereal the first time (Frosted Flakes), my mom insist I have to warm the milk to boiling hot (actually it was milk powder added to hot water) because she believe crunchy stuff is bad for you, you know, like potato chips and wheat crackers, etc.

I never liked warm milk ever after that.

You forgot the Little Debbie endcap!
I grew up in a Jewish home with a kosher and health fanatic mom. When I moved out on my own, I ate like crap.
Got married to a hottie type 1 diabetic Jewish girl and my diet improved the minute we started living together.
My wife got even more strict since we got married with her diet and we pretty much follow a meditation diet. I only have red meat once a week
and we go out for ice cream once a week. She can have a desert once a week.
My diet works out. I'm never hungry and am 6'2.75" @ 162 and she is 5'8.5" @ 121.
When I ate unhealthy, I was hungry more often.

EDIT: You can get away with eating like crap in your 20's, but not forever.
I am 5’ 6” roughly and 125. I eat junk most of the time, some day’s I will eat an entire pizza and others I can eat a bowl of ramen for lunch and be fine. I am on the road a lot during the day so I get a lot of gas station food and still work a second shift job at night so being up and going 18-20 hours a day keeps the weight down. The phrase work smarter not harder is used heavily as a truck and equipment tech that is often mobile with my stats lol

went to Knobels park with our dog + girlfriend + its absolutely SAD to see so MANY overweight + OBESE people consuming JUNK that will either kill or cause serious health issues that everyone will pay $$$$ for. the USA spends the most $$$$ on healthcare + have the most unhealthy people in the developed world according to statistics, eze to believe!!

I got hooked on warm milk and cereal as a kid.
As a young adult, I just didn't have the time or patience to warm it before consuming.

These days the only cereal I consume is whole grains like Teff, or Steel Cut oats

My wife does that with grapenut flakes, it is IMO no longer a cereal but an oatmeal.
