Auto Zone Motor Oil -Who makes it?

Since there is no "Havoline" company as such, even that statement is technically bogus. If, as one of the above posts states, is true, the presence of "WPP" on the bottom of the bottle certainly suggests that Autozone's oil is also one of the family of "fine" brands put out by Warren Performance Products. WPP also blends and bottles some of the ST oils for Wal*Mart. Autozone's corporate headquarters is in Tennessee. Wal*Mart's is in Arkansas. Anyone willing to bet against the prospect that one or more of Sam Walton's kids quietly put up some front money on an independent national auto parts chain?

"...proline oil and filter he said bot their oil and filters are quaker state and that,s all he uses even in his vette..."

BS meter jumped off the scale on that one!

Advance's house brand of oil is made by Coastal.

The bottle states on the label that is NOT made or distributed by Chevron-Texaco,the maker of Havoline.

I e-mailed Advance and asked who made their oil,they responded that it was made by coastal.

Coastal is now owned by Warren Oil Company of North Carolina.Their sites are at;

www.warrenunilube.com and at

www.warrenoil.com

Warren Oil is NOT Warren Performance Products,a maker of Super Tech,which is a Nebraska based company.

These two companies are NOT associated in any way.

This is a quote from O'Reilly's regarding their oil.

"We have two suppliers of our O'Reilly branded motor oils. Most of our DCs are supplied by Omni Special Packaging (Shreveport, LA) and the rest are supplied by Warren Distribution (Omaha, NE)."

Thanks....Merle

This is the site for Omni;
