I have a 1983 Chevrolet El Camino with 364,000 miles on a 305 engine that I have done Auto-Rx in:
1) Engine
2) Transmission
3) Powersteering
I was just wondering if it would be a good idea to do a 2 ounce dose of Auto-Rx in my differential since it holds 2 quarts. Then I would drive it for 1000 miles and drain.
I have always run synthetic gear lube in the differential, would I have to drain it and put dino gear oil with the Auto-Rx for best results.
Since it is a sealed unit would it just be better to change my fluid and not worry about using Auto-Rx. The rearend is a 10 bolt 7,5 rearend. I was wondering if there were any seals in the differential that would benefit from a Auto-Rx treatment.
