He was not asking if it did, he is doing his own test.

Overnight in the freezer really solidified it, but I can still push my finger in it. After it thaws out I will mix it in the proper ratio in some 5W or 10w30 mineral base oil I have laying around.
Stuff kind of smells like the corrosion inhibitor Fluid Film.

It has decent FM capabilities. My turbo Mazda runs better when doing a clean, it's noticeable when I dump it for rinse phase. I'd run a full dose permanently but that might be asking to much from the very old seals.

Well I mixed in 1 ounce of ARX in 16 ounces of API SM 5w30 Chevron Supreme mineral base oil. Put the jar in the fridge over night and the ARX does settle out a little. The bottom half of jar was darker that the top half.
Not that this matters much because I figure all the mixing that goes on in an engine plus the oil get's pretty warm when it's running.
All in all my low tech. experiment was just something I wanted to do for the heck of it.

If that is the case the only thing I would be afraid of is if it settles out in the crankcase and is laying on the bottom of the pan, thick on a cold winter morning start.

Did you heat it at all?

Sorry I do not have a camera to take pictures. I also have not heated the sample. After back up to room temperature the ARX easily mixed back into the oil.

Auto RX threads are always full of ultra defensive types or Auto RX haters. Some of the posts are outright rediculous.

I didn't take any offense to the OP at all. It was just a fun experiment, like when I put my Amsoil, Redline, and ATF in the freezer just to see with my own eyes what they do in cold temps.

When I went back through all of the old arx threads in the oil additive section I can fully understand why there are arx haters.
