I have a question, I am @ 1,200 miles on the clean phase of Auto-rx and am eager to change my oil to see what it has if anything cleaned out. My car is a '93 Lexus ES300 with 200K on it. This is the first bottle/step of the treatment. Do you guy's/gal's recommend I go the next 300 miles and change the oil, or do it now?

Patience is a virtue (I've always wanted to post that). Actually, I don't know if it would make much of a difference, but I would go the distance. Just so I could get a very accurate read on the products performance. But I know your dilemna, as I've been there before. That itch is kinda hard not to scratch.
BTW, I'm a very satisfied customer of Auto Rx on two vehicles, and will be using it in the future. I went the 1500 miles on the cleaning phase on both. I was shocked at what my filters looked like, especially the rinse phases. And I'm the type that consistently cuts his filters open, and have for years.

If it were me I would keep it in there for at least the recommended 1,500. If you are curious as to what the results might be so far just sacrifice the oil filter you have on it now. If it has really filled up with contaminants you can then change your oil, but if it hasn't then spin on a new filter and drive on.

Well I have been using Castrol Syntec (I know, I know, lol). Now for Auto-Rx I'm using Castrol GTX. After the Auto-Rx treatment, I will be switching to Mobil 1 Synthetic

Where do you stand in the cleaning/ rinse application of ARX? Rinsing with GTX? An just out of curiocity, why are you jumping ship to Mobil 1, full synthetic?

In his first post he stated, “I have a question, I am @ 1,200 miles on the clean phase of Auto-rx…”

GTX is a conventional oil and 100% fine.

I to drive a Lexus (amd i use conventional oil) that said you will not find much in clean mode as all the crud is laying on the oil lubricated rotating parts (1500 miles is the mileage to make absoulutely sure you have cleaned) it is the rinse phase that you can see what comes out of your oil. This is your result mode. Yes it needs 2000 miles thats why it is requested you follow the application.

I think you and Frank drive the same older Lexus's here; aka pre-sludge issues with EGR issues etc. I bet 100 to 1 the oil filter will be more dirty in the clean phase then the rinse. And the filter will not be that bad; unless you are doing long(er) drains with dino.

Rick20, I'm switching to Mobil 1 Synthetic because I've heard nothing but great things about it from the net, friends, and family. As far as the phases go, I'm in the cleaning phase right now. I'm also using gtx for the clean/rise phases. I'm cleaning with brand new oil. Well Frank I will take your advice and wait 300 more miles. Hmm I'm never eager to put miles on my car, but I really believe in your product so I may just have to make a long drive tonight and change the oil tommorrow morning.....
