I received some wireless outdoor speakers for Christmas.
I've connected the wireless speaker transmitter to the "B" speaker outputs of my receiver. The indoor speakers (hard-wired) are connected to the "A" outputs.
However, the way Pioneer receivers are designed, it shuts down the speaker output(s) when it doesn't detect speakers connected to either of the outputs.
1. When I switch the speakers to "B" (wireless) only, the wireless speakers work.
2. When I switch the receiver to "A" only, the indoor speakers work.
3. When "A" and "B" are both switched ON, neither sets of speakers work. I really want to be able to have both sets of speakers working at the same time.
I don't think the transmitter provides enough impedance so the receiver thinks there's nothing connected to the "B" outputs.
I probably need to "fool" the receiver into thinking that there's a speaker load on the "B" outputs. My question is how do I do this? I'm thinking I can put a 1/4 watt resistor of some value between each L&R +/- connection as an impedance load.
Thoughts and/or suggestions? Because of where my equipment is located, hard-wiring outdoor speakers is out of the question, even though the sound quality would be superior.
