It's a 2015 CAN-BUS Audi RS7. It will scream at you, limit power, control fuel and not LET you hurt it. That monitors a million parameters so he really doesn't need to see an oil pressure gauge.
Would not really be much fun on a track with all your power limited......so it would not be too far out there that if you are going to track a car you would have a dedicated way to monitor your oil pressure if you are really worried about the correct viscosity.
Well no, it would only limit power if there was a drastic problem with oil pressure or something else going on with the motor like a fueling problem (knock). It doesn't make sense for him to be staring at an oil pressure gauge on the display because its not like he can do anything about it anyway during a track run, the car is going to make the necessary adjustments.
He isn't going to have any problem with power being limited because of oil viscosity with the Mobil 0w40 of a 10w60 however for extremely hot temps and track conditions for a day, I think the 10w60 would give an extra layer of security for wear.
