ATF Recomendation Please

I have a 1994 Mercury Sable with the 3.0 Vulcan and a AX4S Transmission. The car has 196,000 miles and the Reman Transmission has 94,000 miles. I have been using Mercron specified ATF for the life of the reman transmission and have read that Ford recomends using Mercron V fluid over the Mercron spec. I am going to be doing a service on the transmission and I am trying to decide which fluid I should use. At the Shop I work at we use a BG Trans Flush machine with BG's Universal Syn ATF and their ATF service kit. The service kit contains a can of BG Quick Clean and a can of BG Soft Shift. I worry that using the Quick clean that you add to the transmission fluid before you flush it causes more harm than good. Does it? According to BG the Quick Clean removes any built up deposits. Also I worry that the Soft Shift Formula which is added after the flush causes more harm than good to the transmission. Does it?
When I have serviced my AX4S in the past I have just used Napa Dexron/Mercron ATF in the BG Machine and have not used the service kit because of my worries. But now I wonder if I use BG's ATF and service kit I extend the life of my AX4S

. When I service my AX4S I flush the fluid first and then drop the pan and changed the internal filter and then I change the Magnefine I have installed on the cooler line. Should I continue to use an ATF like Napa Mercron/Dexron III or Mobil ATF D/M or should I switch to using BG's Univeral Syn ATF and service kit? If I were to switch to using BG's ATF and service kit I would still flush and then drop the pan but then add the soft shift after I had dropped the pan and changed the filters. I also refill the pan with the same fluid I flush with of course which in this case would be new BG ATF.

Flush it out with nothing but the BG Syn ATF. Keep driving.

I wonder if using BG's Universal Synthetic ATF is any better than using just a standard ATF like Mobil ATF D/M in my application were the majority of my driving is driving 15 miles to College, parking for a few hours, driving 5 miles to subway for lunch and then 5 miles back to college. Then I Drive 15 miles back home. Of those 15 miles to college 13 are highway and 2 are stop and go. Somedays I drive farther in one trip but it's usually no more than 30-50 miles and about half of the driving is stop and go driving and the other half is highway driving. I drive the car as a communter because it gets 20MPG and my truck gets 8-10MPG. Two twelve quart cases of Mobil ATF D/M costs me $60 and a box and a quarter of BG Universal Synthetic ATF runs me around $120. So what benefits do I get using BG's syn ATF over Mobil ATF D/M?

FORD does NOT want any cleaners used in transmission service.
I would do a fluid exchange using a quality synthetic ATF that meets the Mercon V specification.
The Mobil 1 ATF mentioned is a very good fluid.
I have used Redline D4 in a Mercon application and been very happy with it also.
