ATF for Dodge 5 Spd MT

Wondering on thoughts of either

Redline C+ATF............................Have to Order
Amsoil ATF..................................9.99/Qt
Valvoline Synthetic ATF+4...........3.69/Qt
Castrol Multi-Vehicle Semi Syn....3.69/Qt
Mopar ATF+4..............................5.99/Qt

Above prices local to me and the car call for ATF+4 in the manual transmission. Fibre Faced Synchros

I would use the Mopar ATF+4.

Only two of those fluids are Chrysler certified for your transmission: Mopar ATF+4 and Valvoline ATF+4.

The Valvoline is cheaper. Seems like a no brainer to me. (disclosure - I recently flushed my '99 41TE with Valvoline ATF+4, now at 150K miles and shifts like new).

If you're feeling lucky, one of the other fluids might work.

From what I have read Redline, Amsoil, and Castrol say the specific fluid listed above meets ATF+4 may not have been tested by Chrysler but hey, last I used redline API had not tested it either. Not to be argumenative. In fact SOPUS lists a multivehicle fluid now they say is ATF+4 complient sold as Pennzoil and Quaker State.

So if they all meet spec's what would ya choose os badically the question I suppose.

One good observance for Valvoline so far.

i currently have AMSOIL ATF in my neons trans. It has been in there for ~40000 miles, vehicle has 51000 miles on it. The car shifts fine, even after the abuse I have given it. I honestly dont think that it makes that much of a difference with the manual trans. In about 10000 miles or so Im going to switch to the AMSOIL Synchromesh Fluid they recently released.
