Hello all, I'm fixing to swap all the fluids in the old 740 I bought. The girl is a little long in the tooth and the PO couldn't tell me what kind of oil he had in it. Which makes me think it would be a good idea to swap all of the fluids.
With that said the owners manual requires Dexron-IId. I bought max life dex/merc as it covers dex 2 and 3. I just need a gut check here. I'm sure anything will be better than what is in her. Will this work in this car? The manual also mentioned type-f. But from what I understand dex/merc has friction modifiers and type-f doesn't. Is this correct and which is better for my old volvo? Thanks Jason
