sorry for the spelling- allergies. I wouldn't tell them about the compressed air thing. Have the analysis put into the records for your vehicle.

This UOA shows why long ATF OCI's are not good.

Practice a more frequent ATF OCI(simple drain/refill) every 6 months.

OEM ATF cooling is inadequate.
Even optional tow package OEM ATF coolers are small that are added usually inline with the 'radiator' cooler. What I'm saying is that dealer/MFG 'tow packages' are just adequate for daily driving. Tow package ATF coolers should be standard.

Since you're really towing, I'd consider a upgrade to the tow-package cooler. All you need to do is measure the ATF cooler, purchase a larger one, and swap it in.

Also, any suspended wear can cause more wear. Some of thse PPM's of FE/AL/.... might've been filtered out if you had a real filter. Install an inline aftermarket ATF filter.

And, as mentioned already, exercise any recalls/TSBs on this transmission.

I would think that Honda would cover the repairs probably up until 100k even without the extended warranty. Just drive the crap out of it and make sure the cheap piece of junk blows up before that. Working at a GM dealer and seeing how they do things there I imagine GM would "goodwill" a bad transmission if it was under that mileage, although I have not yet seen a transmission failure on a GM car in the 2 months I've been there.
