This is not my 8th gen Civic, this is a friend's car which I detailed recently. A UOA of this 2006 Civic LX was posted by me last year, for those who are interested.

Engine cleaning consisted of:

~Meguiar's APC (All Purpose Cleaner) + scrubbing with various brushes, then hosed off and blown dry with a leaf blower.
~Followed by Meguiar's Hyper Dressing diluted to a medium gloss and applied to various surfaces via a microfiber towel. (the whole engine was not hosed down with the dressing as I like to only apply it to plastics and rubber's in plain view from the top. Having the entire engine bay sticky = a dirty mess later as ALL dust and dirt will stick EVERYWHERE)

I was thinking the same thing. Nice job Artem!

Curious what the difference between Meguiar's Hyper Dressing And Meguiar's Hot Shine Tire Spray really is other than the label. I use it on tires, as an engine dressing, on boots, serp, bushings and everything else. It has anti-ozinant do prevent dry rot, a conditioner, silicone free. What I like about it is it evaporates and absorbs into the rubber, doesnt leave that sticky slippery dirt attracting surface you eluded to.

Also, you have no hood insulation or did you take it off?

Just the alternator, as seen in one of the pictures where the engine bay is soaking with the cleaner. Everything else can pretty much handle a quick spritz of water.

Yes, the hood can be pretty much opened vertically.

I like to use dedicated products for each job. Tire shine doesn't below under the good, regardless how good it works.
The Hyper Dressing has conditioners in it as well and it gives me the option to dilute it to four (4) different shine strengths.

This is the Civic LX and i don't think it comes with the insulation. Maybe it does though but this one might have been removed as the car has a salvage title due to a being purchased from an auction. Maybe they never installed a new one after repairs, so cut corners and save money.

Negative. I don't have a detailing company. I do this as a hobby.

I think it is the same thing with different marketing on the bottle. Going to research that to confirm. But I will look for that product, thanks!

If you were local to me, you would be my detailer! You certainly have the touch.

It can be diluted 4 different ways for different shine strength. It's a really nice versatile product and a gallon goes A LOOOOONG way.
