Are standard oil filters better than synthetic mesh filters?

I see, so that doesn’t really apply to street cars and the video isn’t very representative of a typical filter comparison.
It really doesn't apply to most drag racing engines either. As it has been said in the past, an oil filter isn't the most restrictive part of an engine.

Fwiw, I use Fram Titanium filters on my 565. My buddy uses regular cellulose wix filters on his turbo LS. Those racing filters are for very specific purposes.

System 1 sells them for drag racing applications. They're definitely more suited for dry sump applications where an engine will actually need a "high flow" filter.
I believe I read the system 1 is a 70 micron filter. That would be for something like drag racing. Many of us that used Motor Guard or Frantz filters in the 60s used a adapter plate that eliminated the full flow filter. My 84 Subaru went 250.000 miles with no oil drains using no full flow filter a Frantz oil cleaner and Mobil 1. Not recommending anything. I like the top loaders.
