AR-15 Magazine Well Grip

Seems like it would be a little too close to your trigger hand to be really comfortable :\ Looks pretty cool though!
That is sweet. The comfort and feel of that grip could make a positive difference in your accuracy. good grips make a nice upgrade to almost any platform.
Where did you pick it up from?

Gripping the magazine and magwell is how the US Marines are doing it. I figure it can't be bad.

Only Marines that shoot like that are either in a CQB situation or don't intend to hit their targets at any reasonable range. Also, if there is a problem and a case ruptures and dumps down the magazine well what do you think is going to happen to the hand on that grip. It also enhances the effects of some poor shooting techniques in a supported prone position.
I have a folding adjustable pistol grip for my CAR 15. Much preferable to doing this.
I wish their was a magazine attachment like that for an AK. Thats how I like to hold it as well. I can hold it tighter in my shoulder and a lot more stable.

EOTech dialed-in today. I'm happy with multiple 10 and 9 ring hits from 30 yards with plinking ammo.
Did more dialling today. Quarter to half dollar size pattern at 25 yards.

That is perhaps the worst Eotech mount I have ever seen. If that were my gun, this is what I would do.
1) Take off the carry handle
2) Mount the Eotech directly to the rail
3) Buy/mount a folding backup sight or
3a) Cut down the carry handle to use as a backup sight if funds are tight
50 yards is the proper sight in for AR-15's for most defensive uses. That puts the bullet within 2 inches of the line of sight all the way out to 225 yards or so. If you sight in at 25 yards you will be 9 inches high at 200 yards.
This is the preferred way to mount an Eotech

It might be the worst but it works
. The forward mount doesn't fit my carry handle just right, otherwise I could use my iron sights too (like you can with an Aimpoint)

Remove the thumb-screw and back to iron sights. Any home defense I do will be at 100 feet or less.
Here's another example of why it's not a good idea to use the magwell as a grip...
