The battery life on my iPhone 14 Pro Max hit 81% and the loss of capacity started to impact my usage and strangely the phone started to get pretty warm during normal use.

I know that aftermarket batteries are, for the most part, inferior, so I wanted a genuine apple battery.
Decided to give their self-repair program a try instead of getting it replaced at a genius bar.

Generally speaking it's well thought out. They give you two seals and the new screws are nicely laid out the way they get installed. I like that they package the replacement screws, because otherwise you need to keep track of where they go and they are so tiny that you can lose them easily.

The price of this is $99 and they give you $47.52 back when you return the old battery.

The screw tray matches exactly the installation layout.

I admire your willingness to do this yourself. I can change my own oil however these Apple phones are so expensive I will probably bring mine to a certified store.

I hope it gets you what you’re looking for in terms of battery life. I had Apple replace the battery on a prior phone and it helped but was never like a new phone performance-wise. I think the updates impact the battery usage and life, whether intentional or not on Apple’s part. I think I paid $79 to have them install one on an 8 Max or thereabouts.

That's cool, but my 2nd generation SE doesn’t have that fantastic feature. I replaced the battery in my original iPhone 3…and then broke the screen a month later. I replaced the screen…and the home button stopped working. That’s when I bought my next iPhone.
