Wife always upgrades to the latest iPhone as soon as it comes out. This is the first year that she admitted that the 17 does not feel like an improvement over 16.

The 16E is currently mentioned by those who refuse to jump on the band wagon every time a new phone come out.I’m the type who usually gets a new iPhone every five years or so but I rarely ever get the latest version, as my provider used to offer me free ones but they were usually one generation behind. But last year when I was having trouble with my iPhone XR I ended up getting the 16 because the price difference wasn’t that much higher than the 15. And since I was buying it outright I figured I could get longer time with the 16 before they stopped the updates.
So hopefully I won’t have to replace my 16 until the 21 or 22 comes out
I kind of like the 16e the rub is you can buy the regular iPhone 16 direct from Apple for only $100 more.
For those in rural areas that have a lot of dead spots a nice feature is you can text via satellite free from Apple for 2 years. Can remember the last time I had a dead spot however I do wonder about if your in the ocean on a boat.
