API comparison SP vs CK-4

I've had a look on the site but can't see any definitive answer, my question is what's the difference in formulation between the two standards? I know they are the latest standards for petrol engines and the other for diesels but what chemicals / compounds are greater or less than in each one? if you can direct me to an article or explain the differences it would be appreciated. ie one has more zinc than the other etc etc..

Well, SP is for gas engines and CK-4 is for diesel engines. Formulations obviously are different as HDEO is to keep soot in suspension etc.


Good comparison would’ve been SP compared to SM or SL.
