Anyone Using HPL Green in a Toyota WS Application?

Have any of you tried HPL Green in a Toyota WS application? To be more specific I am curious about a Gen4 Prius, that being the 2017 Prius V in my signature.

I have, currently for the past 4000 miles on my 2011 Yaris, I did second drain and fill a few thousand miles after the pan drop & strainer change on the U340E transmission to flush out most of the factory fill ATF-WS , so far no complaints. It is too early for me to comment how well it holds up, pretty sure it will do fine until the next 30-60K miles.

There is a post somewhere on the forums where I posted photos of the pan drop and filter change at 124K miles. Surprisingly it was clean with no varnish deposits in the internal castings and assemblies inside the transmission on the 124K Toyota ATF-WS factory fill.

I went with HPL because the ATF Green was cheaper per quart vs the dealership asking price, doesn't make sense for me pay over 20 dollars per quart for OEM fluid.

I'm thinking of adding a remote transmission filter in the future, due to observations of how dark the drain fluid was, probably lots of clutch material in suspension.

My use case is a 2017 Prius V with a little over 50k miles. It has an e-CVT transaxle that apparently isn't too demanding on the ATF fluid. At this point I am leaning towards Idemitsu TLS-LV because it is a direct replacement and it has a lower viscosity than HPL Green. As much as I may like HPL products my readings here and on other vehicle specific sites cause me to question the use of multi-spec ATF fluids. That same research causes me to think that HPL ATF Green would be a good choice for more traditional multi-speed transmissions including the examples provided here in this thread.

That Idemitsu TLS-LV is also full synthetic which my understanding is Toyota WS is not. Thats a benefit. Will be using the 10 quarts I purchased of it in the Rav4 Hybrid in signature in differentials and e-CVT here shortly 20K. I will be following this thread moving forward though for other members experiences. I do plan on keeping the Rav4 for the longggg haul.

Amsoil SS blue cap has served me well in my beloved 15 Tacoma. I also use it in the Pilot 5 speed. My plan is to use it in the Tundra. I guess it would be ok as well to use it in the transfer case that’s WS spec.

That ATF-WS isn't a full synthetic seems to be a commonly repeated idea. But has this ever been proven? The fluid has been around for maybe 2 decades or more so perhaps the base oil today is not the same as it was in the past.
