Have any of you tried HPL Green in a Toyota WS application? To be more specific I am curious about a Gen4 Prius, that being the 2017 Prius V in my signature.
I have, currently for the past 4000 miles on my 2011 Yaris, I did second drain and fill a few thousand miles after the pan drop & strainer change on the U340E transmission to flush out most of the factory fill ATF-WS , so far no complaints. It is too early for me to comment how well it holds up, pretty sure it will do fine until the next 30-60K miles.
There is a post somewhere on the forums where I posted photos of the pan drop and filter change at 124K miles. Surprisingly it was clean with no varnish deposits in the internal castings and assemblies inside the transmission on the 124K Toyota ATF-WS factory fill.
I went with HPL because the ATF Green was cheaper per quart vs the dealership asking price, doesn't make sense for me pay over 20 dollars per quart for OEM fluid.
I'm thinking of adding a remote transmission filter in the future, due to observations of how dark the drain fluid was, probably lots of clutch material in suspension.
