Friend stopped over and we were looking on eBay at casite filters for his two fords. Can’t say I have ever used them. Anyone here ever use them with hood or bad results? He’s gonna do 5-6k OCIS with Eco Power 5w30 oils.

Thank You

Used them on the brother’s 2.5 Altima a couple times, they did OK. Media got brittle, though.

Casite used to be a cheaper Hastings/Baldwin-made filter. They have slightly less media than premium Hastings and Baldwin filters. I don't think Casite filters are still being made. Hastings stopped making private label filters a few years ago, and they stopped using the Hastings brand completely last year.

Still made by Hastings (I believe), but the lower-end version. Somewhat popular in the Midwest because they have a factory here.

I doubt that as we saw 5 eBay listings for them with recent production dates

UPDATE, some are 2021, some are 2018. Friend says he’s gonna buy case of 12

All I know. I have 11 CHAMP filters left to use up. Have a great weekend folks. Have Parts Plus 2835 filter off 22’ Escape 1.5 turbo engine to cut and post. Turbo bad. Air intake system almost COMPLETELY FULL OF OIL ☠️💀

75k on vehicle. Works selling it after repairs.

I used a Casite filter on the first oil change on my recently-purchased 2000 Lincoln Town Car around January of 2017. I bought it because Hastings was listed as the manufacturer on the RA site description, and it shipped from the same location as the other parts I bought (unlike the Wix or Motorcraft at that time). It seemed well-made for a lower-priced filter and had a nitrile ADBV. It performed fine for my 5k OCI with M1 5w-30.
