Anyone still use bar soap?

I mix it up. Someone gave me some Dr. Squatch for Christmas a couple of years ago, until then I was strictly body wash. As mentioned, body wash does leave a slippery feel even when you rinse well. I never noticed that until I started alternating bar soap and body wash.

In any event, Lifebuoy is a definite "no" in my house...

"Oh.....no...... What did we do!? I told you not to use the Lifeboy soap!? Oh no....! He's blind now"

Yes bar soap is my preference. I typically buy Duke Cannon, Irish Spring, Ivory or Dial Gold. Also wanting to try the new Dr. Squatch SpongeBob soap because you’re never too old for SpongeBob.
I think the day we don’t find SpongeBob to be funny, is the day we need to go off to the Green Grove home for the rested…can’t remember when I used Irish Spring exclusively but it’s been over 10 years. As a kid I definitely remember using Dial

Dermatologist said my leg skin is so dry, gonna pop. Works good, smell is low key.
I tried Olay Oil. Hated how it barely cut oil and grease and left me feeling slimey.
In the winter is very dry here. Could about buy lotion by the drum 🤣
My hands crack bad and bleed if I don't lotion up at least every few days.
Sometimes I slath on Eucherun's Cream and go to sleep with a pair of clean gloves on.

I've used Ivory bar soap all my life, works, why change. Sometimes hard to find.
Shampoo? Usually Prell or Suave Coconut. When I was in college, living in the dorms, used the bar of Ivory to wash my hair too, made life a bit simpler. I'm now almost 77, still have a full head of (white) hair.

It's all liquid body wash on a loofah for me. Haven't used bar soap at home in decades. Last time I used bar soap was about a year ago when my connecting flight was canceled and I spent 5 hours in a dumpy motel room near the Denver airport. All our toiletries were in our checked bag and we had to use this tiny bar of soap for body and hair. It did not make me miss bar soap.

Seems like all the brands are adding some type of lube. I hate it. All I can find without oil is ivory
WOOF! Just like the Lumi (stink all over) deodorant fad/madness the female Doctor invented. She became an instant millionaire. She made those silly commercials and then some new , young start up business guys gave her a fortune for her company. They made her sign an agreement with the stipulation that she continue to make those commercials. LoL.
Now it seems her patent, copywrite or trademark time must have ended because near every soap / deodorant company is making those annoying "My body! Whoo! I stink all over....!" "I need some special soap/deodorant all over my body and privates too!" commericals..... OMG. :ROFLMAO:

You have no idea how much laughter those Lume commercials and the copycat products bring to my wife and me.

I use dove antibacterial bar soap. Gets the smell off by killing the bacteria, but covering up the smell with some fragrance. And bodywash always makes me break out. Atopic Dermatitus

That’s what the girlfriend uses. Her daughter uses my Pine tar soap from The Soap ashes in Spring grove NC

Since switching to body wash, I've noticed that the shower stays clean for much longer, due to the lack of soap scum.

That, alone, makes it an easy decision in my book.

You could wear socks on your hands. I've done that.
