I use a tea tree oil bar soap that a local company makes. At the sink, I use a mix with Dr Bronner’s Lavender and water.

I've used Irish Spring for decades, and have never noticed this. Now you have me curious. Anyone else notice this?

Dermatologist said my leg skin is so dry, gonna pop. Works good, smell is low key.

I mix it up. Someone gave me some Dr. Squatch for Christmas a couple of years ago, until then I was strictly body wash. As mentioned, body wash does leave a slippery feel even when you rinse well. I never noticed that until I started alternating bar soap and body wash.

In any event, Lifebuoy is a definite "no" in my house...

I prefer bar soap but use both. I've use Ivory, Zest, Irish Spring, Yardley.....all good.
Probably the best "value' for a quality bar soap is Palmolive which can be bought for $1.25 for 3 bars.
The $1.25 was a dollar not too long ago...that's where you find 3 bars of Palmolive for $1.25....DOLLAR TREE.

Ivory bar soap if I want something clean, like my eyeglasses. Leaves no residue. Also good for cleaning delicate parts for same reason. I use it on my hands too, but prefer the Trader Joes Grapefruit Liquid Hand Soap. Citrus cleans grease and grime but doesn't dry out my skin. I like their Citrus Body Wash for the same reason. Smells like an orange grove. Not expensive either, $2.99 for a 16oz bottle of body wash.

Any old timers remember the Lifebuoy radio commercials from back in the early 1950s This was before the era when deodorants were in widespread use, and Lifebuoy advertised that it prevented body odor. The commercial included a Fog Horn type sound effect that went "Bee Ohhh"

Ha ha ha ha..... that is sure some funnies I DO NOT remember.
As kids we used to just fall out and ROTFL at so many foolish Tv comercials. We would cry laughing at some like those SANKA coffee ones. The ones where an adult would just throw a FIT over some silly little thing. Then they would come on with the sales pitch. "Coffee make you jumpy and jittery? Well then you need to try SANKA brand with no caffeine to upset your day , and you will sleep better tonight!" LoL.
Another good one was the AlkaSeltzers....
"I can't believe I ate the whole thing!" That one always had us kids rolling with laughter.

Ivory is pretty much all I use now. Im bald with a beard and it works well.

I get African black soap by the pound and then cut it into bars as needed.

I use regular Dial white bar, "Spring water" I believe. Wife uses Dove "Sensitive". Like so many other items, I can't believe where the price of soap has gone in recent years. The larger packs from Walmart online are about half the price of pharmacies and supermarkets.

like Dial bar soap also ,and when my hands get real dirty,Ajax dish soap works good,,use some liquid soap also for daily use, when i was a kid and swore alot,my mom used to make me take a bit out of Palmolive bar soap and chew it,,,no more cussing on my part.

I started making my own soap about four years ago because I objected to the price of tea tree oil soap. It is all we use for showers. Olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil, distilled water and lye. My wife likes lavender scented soap.

Two plans for soap, one with ground up Mt St Helens pumice for tough cleaning and one with vanilla extract to see if it really might repel biting insects.

Irish Spring. Old habits die hard. If my only option is body wash, so be it, but I prefer a bar.

Yes bar soap is my preference. I typically buy Duke Cannon, Irish Spring, Ivory or Dial Gold. Also wanting to try the new Dr. Squatch SpongeBob soap because you’re never too old for SpongeBob.

Nope, the Oil description has been dropped. It’s a kneel down to the marketing curve to the left. Where has Mia gone to! ?The Indian maid who graced the Land o Lakes products for decades. She was woked out as well.
