I've been "kind of" following these guys since they came out and love how they matched classic with modern instruments. However, I noticed they were coming to Oklahoma City on Saturday at 1500 on 12/22. Kept thinking about it, then last night I found some videos on line of them and let my 4 year old watch it with me. I asked her and explained the whole concert idea to her, well the best I could in a language understandable by a 4 year old, and she said she wanted to go. She really likes music as I have my guitar, piano and drums in the makeshift recording studio I have set up at my house, she often plays them to some degree. But she is aware of them. My thought process is if I can just absolutely WOW here with something like this, hopefully it will start a fire inside her to want to learn how to really play. My Dad did something similar with me but I was a little older and it has stuck in my brain all these years.
Anyway, is this show pretty good? Enough to keep a 4 year old enlightned and not bored for about two hours??? I just bought the tickets. It's at the Ford Center, which is a arena, so shouldn't be no more than about 15K people there, tops.
