Anyone know of high-mileage Teslas? (1st or 2nd hand)

I am wanting to buy one with 200K on it.

I presume I will need to fix something. A manual is always helpful. Of course it will be far from the first time I didn't have one.
I’ve started to see some used car lots with quite a few sitting there. Was bound to happen, but I’m not so sure I’d want one of those…

Are you writing this way because of firsthand experience? Hearsay? Or because you dislike Musk and his actions/idiologies?
Firsthand experience. I worked for an independent dealership that had a few Teslas. A brand new model X with less than 10k miles had the door latch fail making the vehicle not able to drive. Tesla promised free towing to the nearest service center for repairs. Tesla told my boss to screw himself they wouldn't cover towing. He sent them paperwork, and they hung up on him. Total jerks. Two it's been posted over and over the shoddy manufacturing on models but there's always an excuse from the Musketeers. Tesla created a team to cancel appointments due to range complaints
The cybertruck was shipped without alot of software, and isn't the hardcore truck Musk promised. By purchasing a Tesla you're rewarding bad corporate behavior and making it ok to continue to produce junk, and not be held accountable.

As I recall, the battery was $95 + tax. I think it was like $118 all in.
The tech also did a 10 minute end-to-end checkup including tires, gaps and the electric cable running to the trunk for rear lights. Apparently some early cars suffered from pinched wires. He deemed our car excellent.

That’s not bad since my tiny group 51 battery is more than that at WM!

Yet it’s hard to determine if it’s truly a “don’t reward bad corporate behavior”, which could be said about most every product everywhere, or “don’t make musk richer because I don’t like his viewpoints.” Seriously. And that’s not intended to turn into a P discussion, but unfortunately EV and especially musk invokes certain feelings and opinions that we need to divorce.

The other things…. So if Mercedes, or Chevy, or Toyota made a car with a faulty latch, that’s differrent?!?

No trip range meter is ever accurate when looked at from the lens of temperature and other external and use conditions. Them resetting and updating is moot. Maybe something more sinister is being done. Sure. But it isn’t wrong for these things to update based upon the chemistry and physics of the situation. Not just because we don’t like Elon…

It's not that the model x had a faulty latch it was that Tesla refused to honor their agreement that "they'll tow Free Of Charge to the closest service center". That used to be a perc for early Tesla owners. Re-read my sentence. It was the bait and switch that irritated my boss.
