All natural Driftwood from the local river, some natural live plants. Had it going for 3 years almost now

I'd be careful adding wood or other porous material from any local water. You can introduce microorganisms and/or disease that could infect you tank and kill your fish. Pollutants would be another concern. Using natural rock and bleaching them before use is as far as I would go if you value your fish.
Just my opinion...used to operate an aquatic maintenance company.

^^This. Be very careful.

Down here, that's called a "platy".

I've had an AR380 tank running for 7 years now, we bought it for our daughter when our son came home from Hospital.

We've got cardinals and neons in it, and a handful of Brstlenose catfish.

My mom has had a fish tank going for years now, but I don't have any pictures of it. I'm not sure what all is in there, but at one time she had a plecostomus (algae eater) that got so big it outgrew the tank. A larger tank would have put a lot of strain on the floor of the house, so the pleco was donated to a fish/aquarium store that could handle it.

This isn't my pic, just a pleco off Wikipedia...

I was very very into reef tanks for about 3 years straight, had 3 running in our apartment at one time! Had a 90 high end reef, 40 breeder for fragging, and a 28 bowfront seahorse tank. Had to sell it all when I recently bought a house, but Ive been dying to start something small like the 40 breeder with sump again. Ive also had freshies for about 5 years, right now I have a few pairs of shell dwelling Tanganikyan cichlids, L. Brevis Kevala. Pretty awesome little fish, they live inside of abandoned snail shells.

I like keeping bettas. Have a 10 gal and a 1 gal in the living room and a 5 gal in my room. All three have a betta in it. Currently the 10 gal is the only one that has other fish. Considering adding some others to the 5 gal though.

I bought three mollies last week and two of them already died. For me, it seems like guppies, platies, neons, and now mollies are hit or miss. There's a danio in there that is probably 4 or 5 years old along with a cory cat that's probably 3 or 4.

Are you acclimating the fish or dumping them in? Mollies are sensitive to Ph changes, but are very hardy fish when in good health. They can even be acclimated to saltwater
