I've been making it in an Instant pot for a couple of years. Pour in a gallon of milk, add about 3 heaping spoonfulls of good yogurt from the store, stir, push Yogurt button and put on the lid with the vent open. Super easy and much cheaper than the store. I usually use the A2 Organic from Costco (Raw is not legal here) and let it set for 48 hours to burn out as much of the carbs as possible.
Different milks will give different results. I've had some not "start" and all you get is warm milk... I wash the insert pot in the dishwasher and have never had any weird results.
