Anyone have experience with a frozen hub/spindle?

The Nissan hubs are the same way - they get stuck on the splines in the hub. General consensus in that world is a good shock from a hammer (with the big nut on the axle shaft) is better than a puller? A BFH and the will to use it was the saying.

Replace the nut after.

I would hate to have to do one that has been in salt all their life. Mine were hard enough.

Absolutely I just did the rear wheel bearings on my 2007 crv. The passenger side unbolted and fell out. The driver’s side was stubborn so I used a 3 jawed puller and some PB blaster and some torque and taps from a hammer and it popped. Eric O from the South Main Auto channel performs all sorts of sorcery with his Big Nasty Astro pneumatic air hammer.

I watched some YouTube videos. I saw one with this hydraulic 10 ton puller. Never knew this type was a thing.So I went to Harbor freight this morning and bought it was $100. Got it home and it was missing the jack handle. Just my luck. **** thing was so heavy had to support it with a jack stand just to handle it. This tool of a beast. It came right off. I didn’t have an air hammer. Besides a recently sent off my compressor and the oxygen of a settling torch to my brother storage shed, and that would’ve been a task to go get it that didn’t feel like doing. Had the oxygen and settling bottle still been here I probably would have burned it out. But thanks for all the replies. The weather got me again so I'll get to it in the evenings.
