I'm not "excited" about it ..but I'll go to watch it and pay good money to do so. I don't go to movies often ..so I do the full deal ..large drink ..jumbo popcorn ..slathered with the fluid that's supposed to simulate butter. It's about 49 minutes of handful of popcorn moving to the mouth with a "palm twisting" action to shove the full load into the hopper ..then a chug or two off the mega sized diet cola (diet for diabetic reasons - obviously not for the calorie count) ..repeat until stomach begs for relief. Then ..as the movie approaches the last 20 minutes or so ..the bladder gets "anxious" (a quart of fluid downed in rapid manner can do that, even if buffered through a bag of highly slathered aerated material). This makes for a truly interesting end to the movie. I can't wait for the final act.
I've enjoyed the other two. They were fairly well done. JJJ was over the top ..but was a minor character.
I thought Dunst worked well in the film(s). Toby's the oddball. Nothing but wholesome good citizen dweeb there. He did brawn up well for the show. He was more suited for Pleasantville.
We were going to go to the midnight showing, but were both too tired. Probably a matinee on Sat if my wife wants to see it earlier. Though saw first one at the movies, I liked Daredevil better than Spiderman and even Ghostrider. My favorite/preferred superhero will always be Superman, though.
I am not excited about it. I saw the reviews and although it looks like a great movie, I'm in no rush to see it. There seems to be a load of "unoriginal" movies out there today.
I plan to see it this weekend with the family. Yes, friends are telling me that it is very good - if not the best of the 3.
I cannot wait to see it. The wife and I are planning to go Sunday morning for the early show because it's $5 a person then (movie prices are ridiculous at late shows). Just hoping that no one brings their screaming kids in there...
The critics didn't destroy it, but they said it seemed to have too many stories to follow (Didn't the cartoon and comic book contain multiple storylines? I remember it being that way). Critics are just that though, and I take their word with a grain of salt.
Kirsten Dunst is the girl who played Mary Jane. I think they could have gotten someone a little better though. She also played in Bring It On and Jumanji.
