Yes, Walmart has a kit by a different name, but it is the same concept.

It will fill the chips fine, but the glass will be blurry in that spot.

I think the name of the walmart kit is "fix a chip".

It comes with resin, a magnifing glass paper (for drying in the sun), and the suction cup applicator.

If you have full coverage insurance, most insurance companies will cover the windshield repair free of charge and a professional will do a better job that those kits.

It is worth checking into.

I have done it before.

+1

I've used them, they work well to stabilize the chip so it doesn't turn into a crack.

I used that kit on a pretty bad bullseye/star combination almost five years ago, and the damage hasn't spread. It's worth a try, especially if insurance won't cover the repair.

It depends what you are fixing. If you have a chip or a star, then it is simple enough to do it yourself.

When you get into a crack larger than half an inch or so, I would let a pro do it.

I had a small crack quickly spread across the entire windshield one winter morning.
