Anyone else have a Verizon 4g Hotspot?

About two weeks ago I purchased a Verizon Samsung 4g hotspot. Verizon is the only carrier which has 4g coverage in my area, and more importantly my house. I find the 4g LTE speed to be very acceptable, and I've had download speeds of 21 megs a second as a best speed. Normally I'm averaging about 10-12.

Anyone, one thing I have noticed is that sometimes if I have multiple browsers open I have problems with pages loading. I'm not sure if there is some sort of setting I can change in the 192.168.1.1 page or not. For instance, I have BOB open now, and I have ebay open in another tab, and DHL attempting to load, as well as freep.com attempting to load in other tabs. Then I get an error such as connection timed out.

It happens about 50% of the time when I am trying to run multiple tabs. I am using FireFox. Any ideas? Anyone else experience the same thing?

Sounds like are limiting the number of connections from your IP.

Yep! I had a Sprint hotspot (Overdrive) and was limited to 4 connected "devices" at any one time if I remember correctly. The Verizon Samsung supports 5 devices. Don't forget to count your wireless printer or any cell phones you have that might be picking up an IP address.

If he's just opening multiple web pages from the same PC, then he's only using one IP address to do it. The number of IP addresses does not incrase with every new page he opens.

Yes, it is not a problem running multiple users, it is a matter of having multiple tabs open.

Sorry, my bad, as I obviously did not pay enough attention to your original post! Clearly, this should not be happening when one device tries to open multiple tabs or browser windows. Unfortunately, I do not have much to add regarding trouble shooting other than to suggest that to get with Verizon tech support so that they can run some tests while you are connected to the Internet.
