Anyone buy tires from Amazon ?

From my experience, I think Walmart is a more reliable source than Amazon, and you don't have to use a Walmart store for installation. I bought two GT Radial tires from Walmart and two from Priority Tire and had them installed at Discount Tire because DT did not carry them in my size.
I ordered from Walmart n simple tire on line .Did really good with finding the tire I wanted on sale at simple tire on line then calling for a better deal
Some of the tires they sell are grey market.
Case in point is these Goodyears as you wont find them on the USA website:

I am in Vermont near a Walmart in New Hampshire. Zero sales tax New Hampshire. I order tires from Walmart and pick them up in New Hampshire.
I bought the set of Yokohamas currently on my Accord from Amazon proper about five years ago, two of which were purchased again about two years later after having a puncture that couldn't be plugged. The original set all had matching current date codes, as did the two replacements.
I'd buy from them again as long as they were shipped AND sold from Amazon.

Got 4 on the way to Walmart from Priority Tire. I miss Discount Tire Direct. Tire Rack took over and is overpriced and uncompetitive at this point. I don't know how they will stay in business.
DT bought TR, not the other way around.
TR people helped DTD modernize their website, but they don't set the pricing, and the tire companies seem to have stronger MAP policies than ever before. I can look on every tire dealer site, including Priority, and they are all the same price, at least for the tire I seek.
DT/DTD hasn't been the same anyway, since the founder passed.
It used to have fewer, but better sales, usually during the big holidays. Now, every week brings the same email with ho hum sales on "select" tires, and don't include models I'm interested in.
No, but I showed Amazon prices at tire stores and they have price matched.

I've had good luck buying tires from Amazon and Walmart online. Last set I bought about a year ago was from Walmart.com. I had Walmart mount and balance them along with dispose of the 4 old tires for about $80 out the door. They did a nice job, and didn't try to push an alignment or front end work, which is very typical of the local tire shops in my area. Another plus for them is they only mount and balance tires and do oil changes, so there's no chance of them digging for work. I consider that good, since I know how to check out a car. I knew my front end was good, and based on how the old tires wore there was no need for an alignment. Once I knew who was going to be working on our Jeep I walked over to him and gave him a tip. Thanking him in advance for a good job. I got what I considered VIP service, and was told the front end was good, as well as how the old tires wore. Win win. One year later everything is fine, I'd do it again when the time comes.

I have several times when I found what I felt was a better deal on Amazon, vs WM or the other online sources. I've never had a problem doing so.
Yeah, I know they bought TR but DTD website turned into TR and they adopted their ridiculous prices. Discount Tire sales are basically non existent compared to what they were. I'm canceling my credit card. They almost never have the best prices anymore. Sad when Amazon is cheaper than a dedicated "discount" tire chain
