The price for Type T-IV from my local Toyota dealer is the same as AV lube's price after shipping.
The local Mobil distributor has it for only slightly less than Toyota, not enough for me to make a special trip into the bowels of Detroit.

The trick with oil distributors is they are set up to make deals on VOLUME. A case or oil or a five gallon pail is not likely to be any kind of a deal. Buy 100 cases of oil, or a couple of 55 gallon drums, or bulk, and the savings just keep going up. I'm buying 15W40 Rotella for $5.75 a gallon, but I'm buying 1,000 gallons at a clip.

I buy Schaeffer's through a local rep. I think he gives me a good deal, 5.00/qt for the 7000, 6.00/qt for the 9000 and 7.50/qt for the ATF.
